This programme is ideal for staff responsible for driving or contributing to inclusion and accessibility in schools, including:

Duration: 60–90 mins
Overview: Explore the legal, moral, and educational case for accessibility in schools. Discuss lived experiences and reflect through a whole-school lens on what accessibility really means for pupils, staff, families, and visitors.
Format: E-learning
Duration: 45 mins
Overview: Examine barriers and misconceptions faced by pupils, families, staff, and visitors who have hearing impairments. Discover practical solutions and how to provide respectful assistance.

Overview: Explore how blind and partially sighted people experience the school environment. Learn how to create accessible resources and review ways to improve design, communication, and support.

Overview: Explore how physical and policy-based barriers affect people with mobility impairments. Reflect on improvements to physical layout, routines, and support strategies that promote dignity and independence.

Overview: Look at school environments, routines, transitions, language, and behaviour through the lens of neurodivergent pupils, families, and staff. Identify practical ways to adapt strategies, resources and environments for meaningful inclusion.

Champion status
To achieve Champion status, delegates complete all live sessions and e-learning, then apply their knowledge by auditing accessibility, creating a plan, and delivering three Welcome Wins. They also share learning through an accessibility-focused CPD session, extending impact across their school.
All progress is tracked through the AccessHub platform, which all delegates access for free.
It’s fully funded
We’re proud to offer Access Champions training – expert-led CPD that builds accessibility confidence across schools and trusts. This training is fully funded for the first 100 educators to register.
